before i begin obviously fake tanning is a personal preference and not everyone has to do it and everyone is entitled to their own opinion! in this thread i will give tips and hacks, and mention my favourite tans!
so the tan im wearing in the pictures is an instant tanner, which means the colour comes out straight away and you just leave it on for 6-8 hours to sink completely in, then shower the excess off and underneath you will have a tan!
personally, i prefer instant tanners as you can see where there is a patch or streak and fix it there and then! some instant tanners can easily transfer but the one i use doesnt!
I use the “sunkissed self-tan mousse in the shade dark” you can buy it online and it is around £6.99

the first tip is having a velvet mit! these are so much better as they dont soak up all the tan, the one I use also has a plastic layer so the tan cannot stain your hand underneath! Washing you mitt after every application helps too as then it wont go horrible!
when tanning feet and hands i recommend using a fluffy makeup brush, which would be known as a blush brush! this makes it easier to move tan around to the areas you need to reach, like in between toes and fingers!
make sure to exfoliate atleast 24hrs before applying tan, and moisturise your feet, knees, elbows and hands around 30 minutes before, this makes sure the tan doesnt build up!
any lotion will work! if doing your face, i dont, make sure to mix the tan and lotion before applying!

i also recommend shaving any areas you normally shave before applying tan as well this just allows the tan to stay on for the longest amount of time
if using an instant tan then i recommend applying it after a shower, personally i shower in the mornings and then rinse it before i go to sleep, because that is when your skin is most soft!
if your sleeping with it on overnight i recommend putting an old sheet, blanket or towel underneath urself as sometimes you get warm and the tan might transfer onto sheets!
