I was invited to @kennedystewart restaurant roundtable on Friday:
-50% of restaurants will be finished by end of summer
-hospitality jobs are not coming back
-BIA must prepare plans for City to say yes to
-in 2+ months, the City has created no vision, no plan.

I am grateful that there are such roundtables, as we need biz and gov't to collaborate. My suggestion: all restaurants may use frontage street parking to do whatever they want, no rules. In Sept, whoever is still operating can discuss what rules need to be created.
As most Vancouverites don't own a car, and transit is not adequately funded, we need simple and abundant bike infrastructure so that potential customers can get around easily. Downtown is too quiet for retail biz to be viable.
