Yesterday I was playing #ApexLegends with random people while waiting my team to be online.

In one game my two random teammates disconnected before even jumping.
That became one of the most exciting games I ever played.

Small thread 👇
Im not the best player out there so I knew that In order to win I had to play stealthy the whole game and try my luck with the last squad.

I fell in a distant place and got a few things, nothing really useful. Then I started hearing steps. had to hide in a building for a while
But that team was looting hard and would find me for sure. Then I saw a team passing by going in another direction. I shot them a couple of times and then they came straight to our position

While these 2 teams fought each other threw some smoke (I play Bangalore) and ran away
I had to escape from the circle and also get some interesting loot, but the place was filled with teams. It was an incredible experience passing by just next to whole teams looting or having to stop and scout areas before making even the smallest movement.
I didn’t got to the end, a team saw me first and chased me for a while until while escaping from them I stumbled upon other team and that was it. BUT all of that kept me thinking in how organic, emergent and incredible stealth gameplay arose from that situation.
So what if, let’s say in #ApexLegends or any other First Person Battle Royale, there’s a way to use the whole situation that’s going on there as a platform for a completely different gameplay to occur?
For example: 60 people are playing the normal Apex BR experience. But 3 players, each one by their own, have no access to strong weapons, and carry a really special piece of loot (that only other players can equip). Their win condition is surviving until one squad wins and also
having collected 2 of three special items that are located in different spots of the map.
These players will spawn in random places and will see the others jumping.

This will make you roam the whole map while hiding from teams that might want the loot you carry.
Maybe some concessions should be made such as: bloodhound radar should not detect your exact position but it may tell them that you are near.
The overall idea is to not disrupt the original BR experience (everyone else will play the same, just with one more way to get interesting loot) but to use it as a platform to deliver something else (in this case would be a really strong stealth and survival experience)
