“That’s the thing about unhappiness. All it takes is for something worse to come along and you realize it was actually happiness after all.”- Queen Elizabeth in The Crown.
As gloomy as the situation is, we tried our best at Eid. Who knows what’s to come?
Got Eid gift bags; hadn’t shopped for Eid but had some clothes which were gifted in the past and were new; did quick stops outside homes of friends/family to drop the Eid bags maintaining distance.
Bonus, we got to see a rainbow and a beautiful sunset.
Eid mubarak everyone.
To those who recently lost a loved one, I was you once. I know how it stings.
But someone wise to said to me then,”agar pyaraoun k duniya se chalay janay se rehnay waloun ki zindagi bhi rok sakti, toh duniya bohat pehlay hee khatum ho jati. Ap jao aur Eid ka jora pehn kar awo.”
It was hard. And I cried when I changed. Then I cried again when I looked at myself in the mirror. But I changed.
And I’m glad I did.
The hollowness of their absence will remain forever but don’t let it make you refuse every other happiness that comes your way too.
