The GOP's been systematically dismantling Black Voters rights, and this is also why the GOP has held MOST of the power for the last 25 years, yet... Democrats get the blame.

Since 1995, the GOP held the House for 20 YEARS, out of 25/26 years.

Bill Clinton had 6 YEARS with a GOP House and Senate.

Bush had 6 YEARS with a GOP House and Senate.

Obama got 2 years with a Dem House and Senate, but he needed a Super majority...

as luck would have it, he was so CLOSE to having that Supermajority.... BUT, then Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd got sick... and then died.

So, Obama only got a hand full of days with a supermajority he needed to pass ANY of his agenda, even tho he won in a landslide.

So, Obama and the American people got royally screwed and then.. the Left got pissed at Obama, and sat out 2010, allowing the GOP to amass MORE power, not just winning the House, but by drawing the district lines, gerrymandering the hell out of their districts.

Then... Trump got 2 years with a GOP House and Senate, and only cuz he was so awful... Dems managed to get the House back, but the Senate will NOT be so easy.

So, Let's recap:

Clinton GOP House and Senate 6 years
Bush GOP House and Senate 6 years

Obama Dem House and Senate 2 years

Trump GOP House and Senate 2 years.

The Democrats had a HUGE majority in the House and Senate, and they kept it for that 12 yrs.

You give Democrats a majority like that in the House and Senate for 8 years under a Democratic President and do it consistently, and you'll see change

We do that for a few different Democratic Presidential Terms, then the Dems know they can make huge change, cuz they know we'll have their back, and so they can take some chances.

It has to be consistent.

So, while 2k Americans a day are dying, instead of asking what Joe will do for YOUR community... or for MY community... how about we act like we are ONE community, and get Joe that fucking MAJORITY, so he can make the REAL change we need.

This is the ONLY way to get the most vulnerable communities the help they really need, a plan is NOT shit, unless we actually win, and less we have a Democratic House and Senate to pass those spectacular plans.

If the Left got off their asses, and had a little patience and learned how American government actually works, and voted in HUGE numbers instead of making stupid accusations and pointing fingers trying to prove a stupid point, we might actually get that single payer healthcare.

But, they actually have to shut up and put up... and VOTE...

That is all it would take, to get the change they LOVE to talk about, that Bernie has never been able to achieve.

It just takes working with people that you might not find perfect, that is how the GOP did it.

It's time for the LEFT to start acting like they are smarter than the Conservatives, and acting like they really want that change they talk about.

Progress is NOT about passing a New Deal in ONE year... it is about taking steps forward, even if they are small steps, and waiting and waiting until it is time to take that HUGE step, so you can make the country a much better place.

Each small step is progress and positive.

yes, sometimes you have to compromise.. it is NOT compromising your values... it's knowing that if you take this tiny step forward, that progress will be on the horizon, and will be achievable.

Sometimes you won't get all you want all at once, that is OK.

as long as Democrats are trying to move things in the direction you want, that should be enough, stop acting like if it's NOT perfect it's NOT worth it.
