Consider, for a moment, TV / radio "talking head" news and information as compared to newspaper / written news and information.
The talking head reads the script. The words flow by as a babbling brook. Selected images flash before your eyes.

2. You read the words on the page. Observe still photos of events. As you read, you think, "What was that a minute ago?" and go back an reread. You compare one sentence, one paragraph, one phrase with another.
You look again at the photo. Study its details.
3. There is no possiblity that a literate adult can absorb and understand as much spoken / video information as written / still photo information. One and done compared to studied and analyzed.
4. You want to know where all those "stupid people" came from?
They were created, on purpose, by the people who own the major electronic media.
They are *great* "consumers."
5. Ben Franklin, one man, owned a letterpress. We still read and think about his words today.
15 billionaires own all the TV networks in America today. What they broadcast yesterday is gone and forgotten.
