Take home from today's session:
1.The main purpose of a research proposal is to convince the reader of the value of your project and your competence. You will have to prove that you have a plan for your work and that your project will be successful.
#Past3amSquad @FabAcademic
Your reader has to be sure that it is not another useless piece of writing, but a profound work of research that will be extremely important for science.
2. If you don't have a problem/issue you want to investigate, you're not ready.
3. Is the problem you're trying to investigate going to contribute to academic knowledge?
4. Listen to your supervisors they're experts in the field. And believe it or not they want you to succeed.
5. Your research topic should be straight to the point don't write up a paragraph.
6. Perspective is very important. Your theoretical framework is very important. The reader should be able to see what you see. Be clear and concise.
From me to you, fellow postgraduate student. Your postgraduate journey is and will always be a humbling experience. Enbrace it and always remember your WHY.
Please feel free to add on what I've missed. We hope to see you next week @lhatiph
