Desperate times call for desperate measures: after yet another week without library access, we have resorted to breaking out "The Bodleian Game" (originally issued by @bodleianlibs in 1988).
I am not joking when I say that this is one of the most exasperating board games known to man: I bought in the the Turl Street Oxfam for £4.99 years ago, and have only played it twice since then - it took about 2 hours each time (!).
"You have been stopped a tourist and asked to take a photograph of him and his family with the Bodleian as a backdrop. Miss a turn."
Ah, the forgotten days of tourists and interpersonal interaction...

As we enter the second hour of play, the general feeling is one of frustration and an inability to progress (much like my experiences as an early career researcher, then).
Things are looking up! (Yes, I am studiously ignoring the ongoing press conference in favour of bookish delights.)
Some uncharacteristically sloppy shelving from @bodleianlibs.
I've completed my bibliography and am now "re-reading" the books whilst the other players finish off, i.e. re-rolling the dice to try and boost my score...
