REMINDER:
1)This isn’t the media. If you want to see more natural hair, promote natural hair. Do not drag other black women who wear weaves.
2)Do not refer to black women who wear weaves as “delusional”.
3)Wearing weaves =/= unhygienic
4)Wearing your hair however you want IS grooming.
5)If you want to address another black woman, do not use foul/insulting language.
6)If you want to “check” black women about their appearance, take it to the direct messages. (Yes I know some black women do not take criticism well, but publicly insulting them is not a good look on as black women or divestors)
7) Let Black women choose the way they want to wear their hair. We can simultaneously promote black women who wear “natural” looking weaves/wigs and “non-natural” looking weaves/wigs. I will promote a black woman, no matter what.
8) Stop perpetuating stereotypes that lead to our collective demise. Stop using words like “dirty”, “lazy”, “bald headed”, etc. on other Black women
9) If you plan on caping or marching for anyone, let it be a black woman. In other words, it’s only your business and concern when a black woman is involved.
10) Do not let anyone gaslight you into thinking that you are selfish for “abandoning” black men and the black community.
11) This is not abandonment. This is self-preservation.
12) You are not a SJW (social justice warrior). You are a woman first. “Saving” the community is not your responsibility. Your responsibility is yourself and anyone who you deem important in your life.
13) Stop putting men, especially black men, on a pedestal. That does absolutely nothing for you.
14) Always set aside time when you can cater to yourself. Make sure this is at least once a week. Take care of yourself through grooming your hair, nails, and skin.
15) Black women, don’t get too caught up on social media. Social media can be extremely toxic and damaging to our mental health from colorists to misogynoirist individuals. Take your time off as needed.
16) Black men are not the only men who are capable of understanding and loving us. We are not aliens. We are not undesirable.
17) Black women, practicing hypergamy is a must. Do not date down. Ever.
18) Making 6 figures as a black woman doesn’t give you an excuse to be hypogamous. Having money of your own just means you’re a capable adult. 6 figures ranges from 100k-999k, meaning you can still practice hypergamy within this salary range.
19) Don’t let the black community fool you into thinking that you must only be for black men. Expand your options and date other races of men.
20) Stop policing black women who are “Oreos”. The idea of articulating your words and using proper grammar should not be seen as acting like a “white person”.
21) Our natural features are not a crutch. However, I will not sit here and police black women who get surgery in order to enhance their beauty.
22) Our natural hair is beautiful. Whether you choose to wear it at all times or not, we are beautiful regardless.
23) With that being said, if you are a natural who wears your hair out at all times, you do not have the right to police another black woman’s hair if it is relaxed or beneath weaves/wigs.
24) Randomly compliment little black girls when you see them. It helps to properly build their self esteem. Black girls cannot just be expected to magically develop their own self esteem without the help of the outside world.
