I still play just enough Pokémon Go (primarily when I walk my dog) that I have a couple hard opinions about it. The biggest one is “don’t take over a fresh gym” because it’s frickin’ rude.
I have one gym and stop within a 5-10 minute walk from my house. This morning it was controlled by yellow with five people in it, four of them at one fight’s worth of motivation. Those people will definitely get all their coins. So I walk over with the dog and take it for red.
I’m not even halfway back home when my phone buzzes and my 3000CP Gyarados is already back. I turn and look back towards the now blue gym and there’s nobody there, but the white SUV that was parked nearby drives by and the passenger looks out at me with a shit-eating grin.
So not only did these two jackasses actively sit there in a car and wait to snipe the gym out from under me, they felt the need to drive down the side street with no gyms or stops to rub it in.
And then my dog rolled around in mulch and fertilizer.

ALSO who is still driving around in cars to get Pokémon Go gyms?! At 9am, no less?!
