2. Book a online practice interview with your university careers team beforehand! A week before my interview, I had a practice interview on Microsoft Teams, and the feedback I had was really helpful and I felt less nervous when it came to the real thing

3. Know what software they are using beforehand and check you can access the call and use it beforehand. Make sure the email account they will be calling you on is the one you have linked up to teams or Skype

4. Make your portfolio into a PDF / online. Put together pictures from placements / scan certificates from study days or webinars or anything else extra-circular that you have done. Ask to send it before or after the interview!
5. Read all of the interview information well in advance. I was told I was going to have two tasks to do, so, I made sure I practised case studies / refreshed myself on calculations + guidelines

6. Still dress as if the meeting was not online!!! You will feel and look professional. If you’re living with someone make sure they don’t walk in mid interview / make loads of noise

7. @KostasEle_RD has tons of helpful interview questions on the BDA student website. Have a look over them and read up on any you definitely can not answer. There are loads of questions, so don’t feel overwhelmed if you can’t answer them all

8. If you are a first or second year student, then I cannot stress enough how valuable it is to be involved with as much as you can!!! You will learn so much from experiences and they will help you on placements + at work
9. As you can’t get a feel for the trust / team by being there, follow their dietetic social media pages + I watched the series of The Hospital my trust was on

10. At the start of the interview, I was told “We are only here to get the best from you”, so don’t forget they aren’t there to catch you out
