case counts are now dropping 30-40% vs a week ago.

this is despite a HUGE rise in testing. they are now testing 30-35k a day vs 15k at the end of april.

all else equal, that would drive case counts higher.

but it isn't.

instead, the % of tests coming back + is collapsing.

testing today is up 135% from 4/30, yet new reported cases are up 2.6% 4/30 (1060 vs 1033)

on a test adjusted basis, this is a 55% drop in cases. that's a massive number

this is a disease hitting the steep part of the curve on collapse

how odd this is not a big news story...
