York Region differentiates between institutional & non-institutional cases enabling a calculated Rt for each. Many are saying we are out of the woods because many of our cases are in LTCF’s. Yet York Region’s non-institutional Rt>1.0 for 8 days. 5/6 @EdTubb @DFisman @JPSoucy
Removing York Region’s institutional outbreaks doesn’t significantly change the Rt (it still hovers > 1.0 for the last 8 days). So no: This is NOT an issue that’s only in our LTCF’s. @ASPphysician @BeateSander @picardonhealth @janephilpott
