I wish I could communicate things as it is in my heart to people without so much not getting lost in translation like how this life thing is not by rush and how "time and chance" indeed happeneth to us all. There's no sure metric on who'll become successful or who will fail.
We all just try, we all just try our best. There are people who have been blessed beyond means without putting in that much effort and there are those whose perfect plans and been turned to nought. In a way, life is selective. What impresses one person and makes them bless
you might disgust another and make them reject you. I have colleagues who have been told that their "cockiness" is why they lose opportunities meanwhile where they are right now, their "confidence" was what won them the opportunity.
You can do everything right and still end up in the wrong and you can do everything wrong and somehow get gains from that. That was how penicillin was invented. So many other things have been invented by mistake. So many other people have become successful by mistake.
The key is in trying. Try something, do something, be good at something, do something until you find out what you're really good at, keep trying, keep working, stay busy, occupy your time with meaningful ventures, read books, play games, play sports, write, just do something.
Keep doing something. That's the one common denominator in everyone who makes it. When the opportunity came, they were already doing something. Opportunities will not come and meet you at home while you're doing nothing. Put yourself out there, do not be afraid to fail.
Shoot your shot, don't stop trying, don't stop doing. A person might have done 10 different businesses before finally succeeding at one. Everyone looks at him and thinks that's the business to do to succeed. They do not know that the aggregate value of everything he has learnt
from his past failures is what helped him make a success of this one. There's no cheat code. A lot of children have squandered generational wealth. Davido is the son of a very rich man but his father is not a musician. He could have kept his head down and stuck to the family
business. He'll be doing well for himself right now but he will not be Davido. Lots of kids went through the grind just like Wizkid, "begging to work at Ojuelegba". Not all of them are successful artistes today, some have gone on to be successful at other things.
In a way, that's how I see life. Not all of us will make it. Those who will make it will be those who successfully grab the opportunities they are presented with. You're an upcoming artiste but they are offering you a deal to become a song writer. That's not what you want you say
But maybe you're the one that'll make that trade of songwriting popular, maybe you're the elevation needed. Whatever opportunities you're presented with. NEVER say no, accept every opportunity. It might work out, it might not but you would never know if you do not try.
Don't stop trying.

That's life... Just keep trying.

Enjoy the process.

Trust your process.

Everything you're trying but failing at today, will prepare you for the successes of tomorrow.

Keep trying...

That's my motto.
