has trinity bellwoods ever NOT had “snot nosed kid who spitballed the teacher’s back but won’t cop to it so now everyone else has to do an extra ten pages of reading for homework” vibes?
i am aware of the fact that many people live w/o outdoor space and also that time outside is healthy for body/mind but i don’t understand all the apologia for a bunch of horny millennials who decided sharing white claws in the park is more important than preventing literal death
there are responsible ways to go outside! the more people break rules, the more small businesses will close, the more vulnerable people will be without work. the obvious privilege on the part of those of acting like this thing is over is... astounding
i also feel that, obviously, these people are well beyond shame. shaming isn’t gonna do shit. so what happens to nip this type of behaviour in the bud, if people won’t do it themselves? probably we all have our freedoms clawed back a bit! it all just fucking sucks!
and, like, the whole “well the messaging was unclear” bit? please. you’re going to tell me every single person in that stupid park has not heard the phrase “social distancing” daily for two months? that’s the KEY message.
and like, yeah, obviously it would be ideal if there were better bylaws in place/if this city had been planned with more free green space um several decades ago, but barring the ability to travel back in time, i guess i& #39;m just saying it bums me out that people are so selfish.
