an 11 year old black girl “took more milk than she was supposed to.” (at school) & she was slammed onto the ground by a cop, he got on top of her, & twisted her arm. he ripped her book bag off, slammed her into the wall & claimed she “assaulted” staff members. after all of this,
he said that she was “stronger than him.” if you cannot simply explain to children (or anyone) the problem at hand, don’t work with people. i don’t understand how his defense was “she’s stronger than me.” when he pinned her down & hurt her. a staff member told him 2 times he was
being excessive. his response was that he wasn’t. i’m not going to repost the video in this thread. this little girl is going to be traumatized for a long time, probably even her whole life. this video is going to be out there forever for her to relive.
action needs to be taken ASAP in these situations. not just when there is pressure from the media or we are just hearing about it. the assault claims were false, she told him that he was hurting her & he didn’t care. her family stated at the time they were filing a lawsuit.
Zachary Christensen did not face any criminal charges, & resigned. i’m pretty sure he is still a cop just somewhere else. i hope the family filed the lawsuit. no one deserves to be off of the hook for what happened. the staff should’ve done more to stop what was happening.
