Unpopular opinion: it’s not a good thing that so many men like Harald here have found a welcoming home in the Scala community.

Check out his timeline for a lot of similarly unpleasant shit, and also a lot of friendly interactions with all the usual Scala folks you’d expect to get along with a guy like this.

If you show up in a community I’m a part of and you say shit like this, even if it’s not in community channels, I will do what I can to make sure you leave.

Last comment: it’s not an accident that Scala has this problem; it’s the result of years of decisions by community leadership (including @typelevel’s, despite a lot of good intentions).
