This eyfs guidance coming out today makes me even more glad that the week beginning 1st June our school is only open to staff (& childcare) for sorting out this shit show. It gives us time to adapt without losing this precious half term that we need to rest and recuperate 1/

And in actual fact if I wasn’t on twitter I wouldn’t have known as I’ve turned off my work emails.
And I’ve done that at the end of the most stressful 2 weeks in headship (and I’ve done 16 years). It even tops when a child fell through a ceiling, and my disciplinary! 2/

& tho I’m paid a lot, I am not paid enough to work ANOTHER holiday unpaid, so until I am back on contracted & paid hours, this eyfs guidance can get in the sodding sea.
Cos last time I looked it was Sunday of a bank holiday weekend.
