Tomorrow is the next court appearance (virtually) of the media group (including the Halifax Examiner) that has applied to the court for the release of search warrant documents in the mass murder investigation. 1/
You'll recall we received 1 redacted "ITO" last Tuesday. If all goes according to agreed upon plan, the crown will turn over 6 more redacted ITOs tomorrow. 2/
I have no idea what's in these ITOs, but we're led to believe they are substantially different from the first. I've reserved the entire day tomorrow to read them and report on them. 3/
I think it worked well last week when I live-tweeted my reading of the ITO, so that's my plan for tomorrow as well, so expect a flurry of tweeting from me. 4/
Moving forward, there are 13 more ITOs that should be released, and we don't have a timeline for those yet. Additionally, we (the media group) haven't yet decided whether to challenge the redactions. 5/
So just this part of the story — the search warrants — could last weeks or months more. Obviously, the full story on the mass murders will involve reporting that takes months and years.
