Devastating @thesundaytimes indictment of Johnson& #39;s handling of the coronavirus crisis, including a description of how, in neo-Stalinist style, his 2 March video message was later doctored, with the words "go about business as usual" cut out. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/three-weeks-of-dither-and-delay-on-coronavirus-that-cost-thousands-of-british-lives-05sjvwv7g">https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/t...
So tens of thousands of UK coronavirus deaths can be directly attributed to Boris Johnson& #39;s "libertarian instincts", which caused him to dither in February and March delay the lockdown until 23 March?
The complacency of Boris Johnson& #39;s government became more obvious in early March, when it allowed sporting fixtures to proceed, even though thousands of fans would be travelling from Covid-19 hotspots in Europe where such events were already banned.
It was all part of Boris Johnson& #39;s "herd immunity" strategy, which would involve the loss of hundreds of thousands of British lives. Herd immunity was very much the *mantra* inside 10 Downing Street until 12 March.
