As a Balkan person, we don't disassociate ourselves from being white. We know we are white. We disassociate ourselves from certain traits which white americans possess because we're nowhere near that mentality. is that of a white american or brit in 99% of cases. We don't share many of their sentiments, opinions, logic, and traits and don't want to be associated with that specific type of white person. Of course we're aware that compared to other races we are very privileged. We don't

One specific thing that comes to mind is their aversion to foreign people and languages, while our culture is literally built upon those traits because our area is very diverse in that aspect. That's only one thing that comes to mind, among a big handful of others
