I’m so sad that I didn’t truly deep colorism up until the last 3/4 years. It really is everywhere. In every aspect in your life you are treated/dealt with according to your shade of skin. I hate it here

I hate colorism with my whole heart. The darker your skin is the less off you are anywhere in life. Black women in labour? Ignored. Black man walking on the street? Suspicious. Black person in court? Unforgivable. Darkest girl in the group? Disregarded.

It’s so deeprooted that it’s even transgressed into your culture. Antj-black amongst black people? Self-hate? Bleaching? Your aunties praising you for being ligh-skinned. I’m acc tired, everyday on this app is so triggering. Constantly reminded that we’re disregarded for life
