Arsenal, the elite club. A thread.

Since the turn of the century, Arsenal have won 8 trophies. 6 FA cups and 2 Premier leagues. One of those being as an Invincible team and drawing 12 games - in 2003, 17 years ago.

Arsenal have never won a major European trophy. The only accolade in Europe they have won is the Cup winners Cup in 1994. Irrelevant.

Since they last win the league (2003) they have only finished second twice. They finished 12 points behind Chelsea in 04 and 10 behind Leicester in 2016. Not even close. ‘Pressure’ - they haven’t been close to winning since.

Arsenal have been the runners up in the UCL and UEL. Losing to Barcelona and Galatasaray and recently being slapped by 4-1 Chelsea in Baku. I’d have won a lot of money that night if it wasn’t for Iwobi.

Arsenal have a habit of selling their best players, who then end up winning trophies that Arsenal CANT win.

This thread was made because apparently Arsenal are more of an elite club than Chelsea or Man Utd. Honestly that is shambolic. Arsenal play great football and have had great teams but stop overstepping.
