today it's exactly a year ago that my dad drove me to France. One of the biggest challenges, but also one of the best experiences in my life. Taking care of 4 very young children all week long, taking care of the house, going to Paris by myself each weekend, -
speaking in french (my 3rd language) all the time. And all of that right after I finished my final exams. It was insanely hard, I was tired and I cried a lot. But I'm so happy I did it. 2,5 weeks in I got the phone call that I graduated highschool.
All of these were things I never thought I would accomplish. I don't think I've ever been as proud of myself as when I came back to NL. I turned 18, I graduated, I took care of a whole family, I went to Paris 7 times all by myself.
And sometimes I just need to remind myself of all that. It was hard, but it was the best experience I've ever had.
