#Section28 became law on this day in 1988, the after effects devastated generations of LGB people in the decades that followed, preventing schools & local authorities from supporting LGB young people & describing our families as "pretend" in law.

It took 15 years till #Section28 was finally repealed in 2003.

The damage done to generations of young LGB people in those interceding years is incalculable.
