. @MattHancock Hi Matt. I’m not going to flame you with a whole lot of bile. I think you’re probably well intentioned. But we’re now at the point when you just have no credibility left. It’s time to go.
Arguably that point came when you said that shutting down Parliament to deliver Brexit would betray D-Day veterans ... and then offered Boris Johnson full support for *that very policy*. That was pretty astonishing.
The there was the more recent point that we all saw you saying you were “speechless” when Neil Ferguson broke the lockdown, said he was right to resign, and that you’d back any police action against him...
...and yet now with Dominic Cummings - who, unlike Ferguson, had an active case of Covid in the household, and who unlike Ferguson then went to see at-risk people 250 in another part of the country - you’ve backed him to the hilt.
Despite the *huge* damage to the public health messaging that *you are in charge of*.

I mean... Jesus.

Nothing personal, Matt, but we need a higher standard of leadership than this right now. We really, really do.
Maybe when you started out on politics you had some sense of wanting to serve, of a higher calling.

But take a long look at what you’ve become, and what the rest of us can all see.
Which is this: that you’ll say and do anything to protect your political career regardless of the damage to the national interest or common good... *even when lives are at stake*.

It’s not a great look. Now of all times.
So. No swear words, no caps lock, no hurling abuse. But do the right thing, and resign. Now. We need someone better than you.
