Just finished @theAliceRoberts hugely enjoyable introduction to The Celts. Refreshing to read an introductory text that questions, rather than reinforces, mainstream thinking on the subject.
Now off to spend some time with the forgotten figures of Medieval England.
@DawnCansfield @Rebecca52731232 The Atlantic Fringe Hypothesis is a really interesting one, and ties in with my understanding of one of the possible routes for the spread of The Neolithic. Trade, culture and language spreading up the Atlantic coast from Portugal to Scotland
So @preshitorian @Durotrigesdig if I wanted to go deeper what would you recommend next on the reading list? Am I looking at Cunliffe? I have Richard Bradley's Prehistory of Britain and Ireland ready to go. Interest would be Iron Age, rather than just Celts.
