(1/10) Day 30/30: Success!

@everestinamonth step challenge completed.

Also on this day, 13 years ago, at 8am I stood on the summit of #Everest and held up this pic of my family. Wife Sara and two small kids Aoife 18 mts and Issy 3 mths (yes I know!)

A Thread for more Pics...
(2/10) I also carried up this flag made by pupils from my old school Friends School Lisburn @FSLprep
(3/10) It is a pleasure to share this summit anniversary @mick_odwyer and Dr Jeremy Windsor.
(4/10) It was also a pleasure to climb with my old friend @nigelhart the person credited with starting the @everestinamonth challenge!
(5/10) I also became the first climber to hold up the Ivory Coast Flag on the summit.

Hypoxia does funny things to your brain!!
(6/10) I couldn't have done any of it without the support of the entire @XtremeEverest team, in particular the leader @mike_grocott and this guy Dawa Tenzing Sherpa who carried 5 of the 6 Oxygen bottles we had that day.
(7/10) None of us could have done it without the support of our amazing sherpas
(8/10) and of course special mention for Spud who came all the way to the top!
(9/10) The Nepalese say that:

"your summit is at base camp"

and of course when your at the top, you are actually only half way there.

It's a long way down.

Can you see our tents at camp IV in this pic?
(10/10) Finally, a much younger me happy to be on my way home.
