Hello folks, how have you been?

Two weeks of self-imposed absence from social media are up, so it's time to see what I missed.

A thread 👇 https://twitter.com/VasiliyZukanov/status/1259549648546607108
Apparently, I've been promoted from "Kotlin hater" to "Anti-Google extremist" đŸ€Ł

Unfortunately, mods were too quick to remove this hilarious comment, so I can't read it. Damn, mods, why don't you let me have my proper laugh?
@JakeWharton is back at Square. Makes sense.
Kotlin multiplatform stock just got a bump up. @apogrebnyak, do you have open internships at IceRock I could maybe apply for? 😜 https://twitter.com/JakeWharton/status/1262399587995828224
What the hell? @Zhuinden banned from r/androiddev? https://twitter.com/Zhuinden/status/1263208622735216641
Because of this???
And there is my name there? How the hell did that happen if I wasn't even present on social media?
What the actual FU@K is this pinned response by the moderators of r/androiddev?!
I guess people thought that I was banned from r/androiddev together with @Zhuinden in this same context. Or was there any other shit show that I missed?
Anyway, I'm not banned. Yet. https://twitter.com/michael_tigas/status/1264450465716035585
Looks like it'll take some time to understand what the hell happened on r/androiddev, why @Zhuinden got banned and why my name is all over it.
I won't comment on that anymore until I figure all this out.
This long thread by @ErikHellman deserves a proper response. Don't have time right now, but will put it on my to-do list. https://twitter.com/ErikHellman/status/1262322194182438912
Just a quick comment on this unfortunate advice.
If there is one use case where you DON'T want to use bare threads, concurrency frameworks it is. If you write or maintain one, you MUST use thread pools. Otherwise, your framework will be dead on arrival. https://twitter.com/ErikHellman/status/1262322215003000833
That's an interesting interpretation. I actually just searched for a metaphor to "worship", but I that's a valid interpretation too.
I don't want to be Moses. The guy had walked in the desert for 40 years and then didn't even enter the promised land. https://twitter.com/TrevJonez/status/1262607942211325954
