/ Sometimes I really wonder, not as someone in peril but out of genuine curiosity, what exactly are we holding onto in this world?
/ I've spent my whole life working with death. It isn't really that scary to me. I'm not saying I think running to it is the right thing to do, I guess I just don't get the fear of it. Sure, it's an unknown. But it happens to everyone, right?
/ Everything we do has been in avoidance and rejection of death. Our whole society was set up on this madcap illusion that we were beyond it. Now we see that it is here with us, but it always was. Is it that our illusion of invulnerability is being stolen from us?
/ IDK, no profound point to be made here, just curious what the actual fear is about. Fear of loss, I get. That I am afraid of too. But fear of leaving this world is something I've never had, and I just don't get. It's not a rhetorical question. I'm truly interested.
/ I've got to go to bed but I do so love talking with you fellow insomniacs about these things. It really is a joy to me to be able to hear people's thoughts on them and discuss them. It's one of my very favorite things about Twitter ❤️
