Sceintist are saying they agree with the overall approach but arent being consulted on all regulations? Of course not, some regulations sector experts are giving input on, others community members are being consulted. Science leads to approach society guides the implementation
Two examples: Scientist say we need to implement social distancing, the textile and clothes retailers say to gov in order to implement it in shops they would like a lost of clothes that can be sold in an effort to reduce foot traffic. The scientist dont run retail stores.
Next up: The scientist say children are at limited risk for severe infection so schools can open with social distancing and hygiene measures in place. The Min of Basic Edu looks at the list of 3000 schools without water and even more with over crowding and says they arent ready
The science guiding the approach does not mean that the scientist will know what the best way to implement the scientific advise will play out in all practical situations. There are others in society whose may be better placed to advise on what's practical and that's ok
