how i like to write and read narrations:

» when i write narrations i usually ask myself:
do i focus it on the emotions and thoughts of the characters? or on the scene where they& #39;re at?

if i& #39;m writing action, i focus it on the scene. less inner thoughts, more interactions. https://twitter.com/inkyreveries/status/1264435263217864705">https://twitter.com/inkyrever...
( please don& #39;t judge that. HAHAHAHA. that& #39;s my writing from two years ago. )

if it& #39;s a genre let& #39;s say romance or angst. focus more on the inner thoughts and emotions of your characters rather than the scene.
» find your writing style.

compared to the screenshot na nilagay ko, hindi ako ganyan magsulat ng narrations sa mga socmed aus. i have poem-styled narrations. why? they& #39;re way faster to write and read.
» be precise, don& #39;t use words that are unfamiliar.

ang kalaban ng writers sa narrations is the attention retention of the readers. at first glance pa lang, if it appears to long; chances are they& #39;re going to skim through it +
so your opening lines or the first paragraph should hook them so they& #39;ll keep reading. also, improvise.

"Stop being so stubborn." she muttered habang sinusundan siya.

It& #39;s short. It& #39;s precise, but will it keep you reading?
» he / she muttered, he / she said.

pet peeve ko & #39;to. if i see them being used repeatedly i stop reading. use other adjectives to describe how they& #39;re acting especially if it& #39;s in dialogues. +
instead of just "said", "muttered", "frowned", "smiles".

paint the overall picture instead. are they slouching? may dala ba sila? kaya ba sila nags-smile kasi late sila?

give meaning to the appropriate actions.
» practice makes perfect.
