lowkey getting sick of all these "if society treated trans people different we wouldn't need HRT" takes

I don't want a completely different society where the concept of gender is radically different, I just want a society that isn't transphobic

the implication that many trans persons' need for HRT is purely a product of societal conditioning is the same argument TERFs use to invalidate our gender identities and our need for hormones and/or surgeries

just stop using it, please

for the record, I'm not saying that people who believe this are TERFs, but I feel like that needs to be pointed out
