i think for my first tweet, i will capture why i made this account. this might turn into a thread. who knows.
on this fine saturday evening, i decided to hop on my switch. by 12:34am on sunday, i decided to check my animal crossing. well wouldn you know it, my dumbass forgot about my turnips.
i frantically checked my inventory to ensure my turnips werent rotten. they werent. there was hope. thus, i instinctually hopped on twitter and search the acnh turnips tag, desperately seeking someone, ANYONE selling turnips for higher than 95 bells
i only found one to start. i got the code, but kept getting interference at my airport. stressed, i continued to try. i finally got in, only to be booted off the island. i receive a dm with a new dodo code. lets try this again.
i get to the island. two other people come shortly after me. we give the person our donations, as they had asked for wood. we sprint to nooks cranny only to find out....
it was CLOSED. a fellow used the angry reaction a handful of times before sprinting off to the airport. i was the last man standing. the person apologized. i contemplated asking for my wood back. i didnt. i was better than that. i said it was ok, and i went on my way.
luckily, while this fiasco was taking place, i had found another who had a nooks cranny buying turnips for 143 bells. i had been keeping in contact, ensuring that at a moments notice, i would have a backup plan. and boy am i glad i did.
they were kind enough to let me on to their island. i gave him 1000 bells to demonstrate my gratitude. on my way to their nooks cranny, i notived apples. a fruit i had not yet acquired for my island.
on my way out of his island, i asked if i could steal one. he obliged and gave me an apple. i am grateful.
all of this to explain that this process may have been easier if i had felt comfortable tweeting at people from a tiwtter account, instead of dm’ing every prospect.
as i am sure i will be an idiot again and leave my turnips until saturday evening, i decided a dedicated ACNH twitter account was (and i use this term loosely) necessary.
if you’ve gotten this far in the thread, thank you for being here and i am sorry to have wasted your time. i hope you got something out of my convoluted story depicting my stressful experience engaging in the turnips stock market on an animated switch game. the end :)
