In ignorance, when Agyeman-Manu was nominated Minister for Health many questioned why the President was sending a Chartered Accountant to head the Ministry of Health.They didnt know the Ministry was severely in DEBT. And didnt even have the financial space to employ htl'workers.
Many who mocked him were of the CSO and media family. Today, the Chartered Accountant has cleared the legacy NHIA debts, recruited more health workers than Mahama did in 8 years, started paying off the debts for thr construction of hospital facilities which Mahama didnt pay for.
Today, the ACCOUNTANT has been recognized by WHO , on elected terms, to join their Executive Board. You dont need to be a doctor to be a good Minister for Health.
