out of the whole gaang, katara was the one who was affected by the war the most. the reason why we see so much of z/k’s dynamic is not because of a “hinted love story” or some romance, it’s because they needed more moments together to develop a realistic redemption for zuko (1/2) https://twitter.com/avatarsslove/status/1264406392196280320

and also it makes katara’s journey of trusting him more realistic, katara needed more time with him than the other’s in the gaang to truly be able to understand him and trust him...especially after the crystal caves when she thought zuko changed and then zuko betrayed her

(this thread is a tweet longer than i thought) but just to wrap it all up: what im trying to say is that zuko’s and katara’s dynamic is not abt love, but their trust. its an integral part to the story and the show wouldn’t be the same without it
