Clerk - “Wear a mask or leave our store.”
Customer - “This is a free country!”
Clerk - “Yes, it is, and we’re free to not serve you if we believe you’re endangering us.”

It’s funny how often freedom is interpreted as “I can do whatever I want, and everyone else has to take it”.
Allow me to put this another way:
If an american is not wearing a mask when it would be easy for them to do so, and making a fuss about it, they embarrass the United States of America.
It makes us look bad in front of the entire world. It is a failure to rise to the challenge.
