Police are clearing people from Great George St near Sogo & harassing people who have set up stalls, forcing them to leave. Hundreds are gathering around shouting at them to leave.

Strange situation: police are ordering people to leave & are heavily armed but atm far outnumbered by those surrounding them on all sides. Many other police are on stand-by just a short distance away.

Hundreds of people have started marching from Causeway Bay toward Wan Chai on the pavement, shouting slogans. Police appear especially concerned to keep people out of the street. Organizer’s have asked people to march in both directions CWB-WC to keep Popo on its toes.

Police have just raised the blue warning flag in front of Sogo.

People now marching in the thousands down East Point Rd then Lockhart Rd. Police after warning the assembly is illegal have now apparently backed off.

Now turning into Cannon St, very slow, very crowded, stop & starting, constant fears police lurk around the corner.

Ten minutes ago, police fired several rounds of teargas on Hennessy Rd after arresting several people. I was detained for stop&search after helping a journalist overcome by teargas. Now released.
