Our Lost Souls: A Thread
Some people, and many from among ourselves, when you look at their avatar and profile, and then compare with some knowledge areas they like to indulge in, you immediately realize the mismatch between their background and what they try to preach.

We accept that others are experts in Arts, Law, Medicine, Engineering e.t.c., but in the affairs of the Deen (Religion), we disregard the years (decades) of hard work and dedication our Scholars have gone through to acquire knowledge to guide us in the affairs of the Dunya and...
and ultimately, Akhira.
We relunctantly castigate the source of our salvation (the Ulamas) just to satisfy our whims and desires or that of others. Imagine a world without the Ulamas, such is the importance of our Scholars to our fragile faculties in the affairs of the Deen.

I have noticed a trend in this generation; we have a mislaid moral compass. If there is a laid one, it is broken.
We want to participate in every topic, and that's not possible. We can only be proficient in a number of facilities, not all.

We want to be recognized at the cost of our dignity and pride. What is a man without pride and dignity?
We want to appear unique, but we are forgetful of our heritage. We cannot ignore the contributions of ancestors (and we cannot change our history).

We want to look modern, thinking our culture is ancient. The concept of modernism is an evolved culture of group of people. People who think nakedness is the peak of civilization.

In see an intelligent generation rising, but there is no guide or roadmap; like a lost ship in the middle of the ocean. Believe me, when you step your foot into a quest for knowledge of Islam, you'll see how grossly ignorant we all are.
We haven't failed, but with the current state of affairs, we are failing.
