Every time i see a headline that says we should elect an lgtbq ally, someone who isn’t a racist etc. I think, we had that in Bernie. It was never in Joe and y’all r just now figuring that out. Joe’s like the father of The mass incarceration bill. 1/
Expecting Joe not to be racist is like finding some cookies, being told their oatmeal raisin, and picking one up anyway, eating it, and getting mad bc u thought it was chocolate chip even though you were clearly told that it wasn’t. 2/
Everything y’all wanted in a Candidate for president Bernie had. So did Andrew for that matter. “But he’s old” they said. So is the queen of England. So is Donald Trump. 4/
Bernie could die today or 10 years from now for that matter. I’m 30 and i could die today. Death doesn’t have an age limit. 5/
Anyway, y’all made this mess by choosing Joe now you get to lay right smack in the middle of it. If u didn’t want a racist then you shouldn’t have elected one for dem nominee. You have to deal with it now. 6/
And this is why voting records, the bills they put forward, and speeches on the floor (both house and senate) matter and why you should care about them when using a candidate for president. Those things told me Joe was racist. These things don’t lie.
In fact, their very good indicators of what someone will do when they take higher office. I knew what president Obama would do as President based on his voting record as a state senator. Trump was an unknown bc he’d never held any public office, but those are usually the ones +
who mess up the most bc knowing how gov works and experiencing it are two totally different things. Anyway, idk why y’all r acting so shocked about Joe.
he told u exactly who he was as a senator. /end

OK, clearly I’m really bad at numbering.
But I realized after I ended this thread that I never said that Joe was proud of himself for making and getting the mass incarceration bill passed. He bragged about it. On the senate floor... in front of cameras.
