TW: Death. I encourage everyone to set a few minutes aside and read each person one by one. I simply cannot stop weeping for what has been lost. This is a striking memorial to a fraction of those who’ve passed and to show what they loved and paid attention to in their life. https://twitter.com/amanbatheja/status/1264313212247433224
I can’t stress the importance of this, to recognize that people are not just numbers but they loved and were loved by others. We cannot allow ourselves and those in positions of power to normalize these deaths and what these losses mean to our communities.
There were so so many small bios that forced me to pause & cry into my hands. To those who had escaped great suffering, to the cooks, the grandparents, the animal lovers, the ones who fought for others. In regards to this thread itself, I think William D. Greeke put it very well.
