Niladri Bije is celebrated on Asadha Trayodashi.

Niladri Bije is the concluding day of Ratha yatra On this day deities return to the Ratna bedi.

Bhagwan Jagannath offers Rasgulla to Laxmi Mata to enter in to the temple.

On the 12th day, after the evening rituals,the deities

return to the Sri Mandir – the main Temple. Deities are taken to the Ratna Singhasana in Goti Pahandi procession.

procession the Deities move one after another, it means the next Deity only moves from the chariot after the former Deity reached to his/her destination.

Before entering the main temple,a traditional act between the servitors of Bhagwan Jagannath and Mahalaxmi was held at the main gate (Jaya Vijaya Door) of the temple.
Mahalaxmi,the consort of the Bhagwan Jagannath,was angry as she was left in the main temple and was not a part of

trip of the Gundicha Temple.

She closes the temple gate on the face of the Deity Jagannath and only allows Deity Balabhadra, Subhadra and Sudarshana into the temple.

To appease Mahalaxmi and to gain access to the temple, Lord Jagannath offers Rasagolla and requested her

forgive him.

After a long conversation Mahalaxmi Mata finally gets convinced and open the door get and allows Bhagwan Jagannath inside.

After that Bhagwan Jagannath is made to sit beside Lakshmi Mata were the rituals of reunion rehersed and finally Bhagwan Jagannath ascends the

Ratna Singhasana and rejoins his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.

Home coming ceremonies of the Deities to the temple is known as "Niladri Bije".
