Late night movie isn’t just for Junior. Now I apparently need to take her to the Crescent City to either open a restaurant, or just to eat beignets from the Garden District to the Quarter.
I must’ve blinked & missed Dr. Facilier’s appearance - or rather, his son’s - in Descendants 3. The girl set me straight, though. Also, Keith David doesn’t have a bad singing voice.
Her: he’s rich hand handsome, so what? He doesn’t seem very smart.
Me:
that’s my little girl
Me:

Her: a waitress can be a princess, too
Me: you’re my princess, does that count?
Her: yep
Me: you’re my princess, does that count?
Her: yep
Her: Charlotte needs to chill out
Me: why?
Her: Isn’t Tiana right when she says hard work will get you where you want to be? Just marrying someone rich won’t help.
Me: why?
Her: Isn’t Tiana right when she says hard work will get you where you want to be? Just marrying someone rich won’t help.
Her: Appa, what’s a Cajun? Are they French?
Me: um, sort of
. Do you have the time or inclination to pause the movie & hear me tell you about Acadians? No? Ok, just watch the film
Me: um, sort of

Her: I’m a much better helper at chopping vegetables than Naveen
Me: of course you are, I taught you
Me: of course you are, I taught you
Naveen chickening out of telling Tiana how he feels reminded her of her 1st grade “bf,” who’d bought her a Valentines Day card but never gave it to her. Bastard.
Her: he crushed Ray? Asshole.
Me: where’d you learn that word?
Her: Junior
Me: of course
Me: where’d you learn that word?
Her: Junior
Me: of course
Ray just died. She just called Facilier an asshole again.
Me: she married the prince because she loved him for who he is, not what he looked like
Her: good, but I still think he’ll be lazy unless his parents cut him off again
Her: good, but I still think he’ll be lazy unless his parents cut him off again
Girl's synopsis: Tiana got what she wanted, but I'm afraid that Naveen will take her money in case his parents cut him off.
Me: you're not wrong, & will one day make a great divorce lawyer
