Note to my younger self:

AVOID ASKING THIS QUESTION:

"What's the point?"

This is the most dangerous question.

This question is the entry bar for success.

Here's why:
When you start a project, it is very likely that you will not get any traction, meaning that no one will give a SH** about what you do for a period of time.
That is very normal and should be that way.

The ability to persevere through that stage determines our success.

Period.

Starting is HARD, but not as hard as creating something and putting in the work for a long time for no one to care. We want people to care.
I'm always starting new projects.

And new projects do not get lots of attention in the first months, years, or even decades.

We somehow decided that people's attention should be the metric we value to measure success.
