Fear, stress and worry are normal in a crisis.

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in many changes. If you are someone who has a mental illness, anxiety disorder, or other kind of mental disability, this can be exceedingly difficult to process and cope with.
It is important at this time to make your physical and mental health a priority.
Tips for taking care of yourself: remain physically distant from those not in your own household, remain socially connected. Reach out to someone if you are in need of support. Remain active and keep a healthy diet. Stay informed but take breaks from social media and the news.
More tips: Practice mindfulness, meditation or yoga to refocus and remain in the present. Try to keep a routine. Be kind and compassionate to yourself and others. And most importantly, learn to accept the uncertainty and lean into your fears as much as you can.
This is truly an unprecedented time in any of our lives and it is important that we lean on one another and work together to get through this. Visit our website at the link in the bio to join the support group email list, and check back here to see when our meetings will occur.
