whenever I see GC people saying they can “always tell” sex based on physical traits, they always cite voice as one of them. “even blaire white’s voice has a male quality and trans men have a certain twang” they say. I wonder what they would think of me?

I think the assertion that you can “always tell” is bullshit, especially as people are transitioning younger. the fact is, especially once cross-sex hormones are involved, you absolutely CANNOT always “tell” by appearance or secondary sex characteristics alone.

I don’t understand the point of going through life and purposely picking out every trans person you see and using the wrong pronouns because a tats person who “passes” is a completely different story than someone who obviously isn’t on hormones.

trans* also will I be able to “pass” as a woman now? I honestly don’t know. If a gc person met me they would probably call me he on purpose because of my voice and hint of facial hair and other masculine testosterone induced traits they might be able to pick out. it’s stupid.

I mean y’all look at that trans girl Blaire White just interviewed. could you honestly tell me you’d know she’s trans just by looking at her? nah. not at all. she had puberty blockers, modern medicine is catching up. you cannot always tell.
