I think the point a lot of young bronies realized they needed to high-tale it out of the fandom was when they had to come to the difficult realization that the community absolutely had a pedophilia problem.

Not to say I was ever the victim of this, but I had been in a group chat with, and had several conversations with, someone who had turned out to be a pedophile. If anyone who was into the whole pony analysis cult remembers toonkritic, that's the guy.

That whole fandom was festering with predators, and the internet was too busy calling them gay to really think about what a mass swath of 18-35 year old men overtaking the internet face of a franchise meant for little girls would actually entail in terms of their safety.

When I was underage and embroiled in petty fandom drama I didn't see it, in hindsight this is clear as day to me, so I worry about the minors still in the cages of the community. Anyways, end of thread, just had some thoughts.
