The Isle of sheppey is very pretty but I do not recommend cycling there

Met da boi @suhansr in the morning
Disaster strikes as the good mates have a collision, in Goodmayes, and suhan bike has to go to the repair shop :(
We have to split up, suhan does a 32k run back to tooting, I decide I& #39;d rather go to the Kent coast than Southend as originally planned
I cycle down under the Thames via Woolwich and Google maps takes me on this horrendous A road on the way to the m25 at dartford, suddenly the most horrible storm and actual hailstones
Sun comes out again as I go over the m25, the wind stays though
View of the medway as it joins the Thames estuary
Saw a few of these cone houses with spinning hats, they love them in Kent it would appear
It& #39;s once again really windy by the time I get to sheppey. Sheppey is nice but the people on the roads go 60 in a 40 zone and 70 in a 50 and beep at you for being on the road even though there are no cycle paths other than the road
Then of course, the island& #39;s star attraction
The tide is going out so you can& #39;t swim but you can dip your feet in some muddy water. There& #39;s nobody hanging out at the beach just groups ppl in fleeces going for walks and some tents pitched in the dunes. Different to what I expected
And then to begin the cycle back where the wind is now blowing directly at me the whole way home
Rochester Castle on the way back, at this point I wish I had brought a hat as I& #39;m about to spend the next 20 miles cycling directly towards the setting sun
I don& #39;t think you can really make it out from this pic but the moment I& #39;d just got back inside the m25 and although apparently it going to be another 2 hours til I& #39;m home I can see the shard, which is only a teeny further west than my house
The last bit of me cycling in the dark no pics cos thought my phone was going to die meaning I would have no Google maps and no Strava to tell me how far I& #39;d gone but honestly why did Google send me on the horrible route it did
And after about a hundred miles my right knee was like na I& #39;m done so delighted to announce I appear to have given myself arthritis. Anyway, that was a sort of fun day but not in a rush to repeat it, please validate me with likes thanks everyone xox
