Hey so talking to . @toddlergurl tonight she reminded me of Storybook Glen, and I want to share some of the nightmare fuel statues from many 80s & 90s Scottish childhoods.

You've probably seen Shrek and the gang before.
There were also family favourites like Postman Pat and Fireman Sam ready to greet you as you walked through the fields.
It wasn't just shows for toddlers they included though! You could see the radical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or Bart and Lisa Simpson. Although Lisa seems to be an eyeless Dahli-esque wonder.
This was Storybook Glen though, not Currently Popular Family Media Glen! Of course you could find all your old favourite fairy tale and nursery rhyme characters.

Cinderella was my personal favourite, but you had to watch out for the nails poking out of the carriage.
Unfortunately, the owners didn't seem very keen on upkeeping some of their treasures, so a few characters were treated to makeovers by the local high school students. Voila!
I have no witty remark for this one, all I can say is my dad complained to the owners about it later.
For the older kids and the adults, you could even pose for a picture with Aardman favourites Wallace and Gromit.
Okay apparently almost a decade ago a body got found there and people thought it was a sleeping figure at first.
