This tourney isn't put on by the @UHSAAinfo. It was put together by a group of people who didn't give up who continued to fight for their schools and seniors. We were asked to be part of it. Anyone is free to put the work in and put their own tourney together.

They took the time to work with the school districts to get the fields. Worked with Utah Premier Game to get it sanctioned and get umpires. They went out and got the corporate sponsors to pay for it all. The idea was to have a state wide tourney but the fields wouldn't allow it.

So with that being said anyone could have taken the initiative to do the same and still can. This plan was put in place long before the final decision was made to cancel spring sports. To think teams and schools were excluded isn't fair to put out their.

Instead it could be looked at like those teams and schools and communities didn't take the initiative to put something together for their seniors. Sometimes you can't sit back and wait for an invite for a seat at the table you have to create your own.

With that being said from day 1 of spring sports being canceled UPR has been advocate finding a way to play. That's why we were asked to be a part of it and are greatful and thankful for the opportunity.
